San Francisco Files Released on InternetEx-Silo.org is pleased to announce the release of Bob von Holdt's "San Francisco Files", a collection of computer files which von Holdt personally distributed to cult documentary agencies around the world in the 1980s and into the 1990s. Mr. von Holdt, himself an ex-Siloist had painstakingly typed into Word Perfect files, originally in Haettenschweiler font, several magazine and newspaper articles which he stored on a floppy disk, of which von Holdt made available free copies to counter-cult activists. These California-based files became a thorn in the side of the Siloists who despised von Holdt, against whom they used dirty tactics to disrupt von Holdt's post-cult life, according to von Holdt. Ex-Silo.org has re-formatted the files with von Holdt's permission, for presentation in HTML format. However, the effort required to verify the veracity of von Holdt's transcriptions would be penible; thus, Ex-Silo.org makes these files available but cannot guarantee their content as 100% reliable. All notes and comments within the files are from Bob von Holdt. Nonetheless, the San Francisco Files contain a wealth of information about the Humanist Movement, extending from roughly 1975 to 1990.
